1. Consultation and Assessment

● A consultation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is the first step, To evaluate the individual’s behavior patterns, triggers, and consequences.
● This assessment helps identify the reasons behind specific behaviors and develop targeted interventions.

2. Developing the Treatment Plan

● Based on the FBA, the BCBA creates a personalized treatment plan outlining specific goals, strategies, and techniques to address the individual’s needs.
● The plan considers the individual’s strengths, weaknesses, interests, preferences, and the environment.

3. Executing the Treatment Plan:

● The BCBA recommends a dosage of ABA treatment, which may include 1:1 sessions with a Behavior Technician, BCBA supervision, and parent/caregiver support.
● ABA therapists use various techniques, such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Prompting, Positive Reinforcement, and Natural Environment Teaching (NET), to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
